Our Story

We’re two women who share a passion for creating beautiful homes that give you the wow factor.

Having worked for big lifestyle retailers for 30 years, had kids (and come out the other side relatively unscathed), we felt it was time to do something for ourselves. It was a case of if we don’t do it now we’ll never do it. So, with a very deep breath, we left the corporate world behind and used our experience in design and product sourcing to go on the hunt for beautiful, vibrant products that spark joy, every time you walk in the room.

At the heart of Maison Splendid is colour and print. We don’t do beige or plain – we love pattern and bright, bold colours. We work with quality British manufacturers and trusted Indian suppliers that we have worked with for years who know us and share our work ethic. At every stage of the product development, we work closely with our suppliers to do our best to be mindful of the impact on our planet. We want to give you products that last too. You can repurpose the candles into a diffuser, flip the cushions over to have a new and fresh look, and mix and match your fine bone china to create a style that’s just you.

We’re only at the beginning of our adventure but have lots more ideas for bringing a little bit of splendid into the every day. So watch this space – our collection can only get bigger and even more splendid.
